About the releases.
What does estate-grown mean here?
Every wine on our releases page is grown on our own twenty-eight acres east of Fredericksburg. We do not buy fruit, so each release reflects one vineyard and one season.
What is the difference between current and library releases?
Current releases are the wines we are pouring now. Library releases are back vintages we held in the cellar to age, still available by the bottle while they last.
Why are some wines club only?
Small-lot bottlings like the Founders Reserve are made once a year in tiny quantities, so we reserve them for Cellar Club members rather than the general release.
How are the wines made?
We ferment with native yeasts, age in mostly neutral oak, and hand-harvest at dawn. The aim is wine that tastes of this caliche and this slope, not of the cellar.
